Frigoblock take place in the Conference on Ammonia and CO2 Technologies.
Climate change has started to lead to devastating consequences, increasing the importance of refrigerant selection in newly designed units, which has led to the need for more complex technological systems. In particular, the use of natural refrigerant is increasing due to many restrictions on the use of HFC gases by the F-Gas Regulation published in 2014 in Europe.
In this respect, the Ammonia and CO2 Technologies Conference is held every two years in cooperation with the International Refrigeration Institute(IIR) and Skopje University Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. At the conference, participants are informed about technological innovations in the design of CO2 and ammonia cooling systems, improvements in energy efficiency, technical guidelines and safety regulations etc.
This year’s conference was held for the 8th time in Ohrid, Macedonia on April 11-13. Frigoblock was one of the sponsors of the event and a presentation was made by the Frigoblock R & D department.
Frigoblock, who has been working on CO2 systems for a long time and has implemented applications on this subject, shared the results and developments with the professionals of the sector with the presentation on “Increasing the performance of CO2 transcritical systems with Phase Change Materials in cold stores”. The presentation attracted a lot of attention from the participants and was also appreciated by them.
